OUR STORY
Milner Walsh Physiotherapy is based in the Virgin Active gym in Cresta, The Practice in Linden, as well as working out of Northcliff High school.
The initial practice was started in 2001 and has since aimed for an individualised assessment and treatment as well as placing a large focus on rehabilitation.
Our patients have full use of the gym facilities for any rehabilitation necessary and do not need to be gym members, but do need to be accompanied by one of our therapists; and will need to sign an indemnity form. As the practices are gym based, we aim to empower our patients (where possible) to play an active role in their rehabilitation by providing them with advice, correct guidance and support.
We aim to make access to treatment as convenient as possible and thus submit our accounts directly to medical aid (where applicable).
We are also the Physio team for Northcliff High school, and have a school-based practice on the premises.

MEET THE PHYSIO'S
DAVID MILNER
David qualified from Wits University in 1998 with a BSc in physiotherapy. In 1999, while working he also finished his BSc majoring in Physiology. He joined Kaizer Chiefs in 1999. In 2001, he started in a Practice in Virgin Active Cresta gym.
David has become the head of Allied health services at Kaizer Chiefs and oversees all physio's, Sports massage therapist and biokineticists at Kaizer Chiefs.
In 2012 he completed his MPhil in sports physiotherapy through the University of Cape Town. He has presented at 3 SASMA conferences.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Dave can be found in the rooms at either Cresta Virgin Active or The Practice. On Tuesday and Thursdays he is on the soccer pitch in the sun.
He enjoys the outdoors, Hiking ,fishing and trail running when he gets a chance to do them all.

DEE WALSH
Dee qualified from the University of Stellenbosch in 2013, and went on to do her community service year in rural KZN (Creighton). She is always up for an adventure, and often takes the path less travelled.
Dee is passionate about sport and you can often find her spending her hours next to the rugby field; whether at Gauteng Ladies rugby, Pirates Ladies rugby, Gauteng Academy and Craven week or Northcliff High school.
She has been the school physio for Northcliff High school since 2015.
Dee completed her post graduate qualification in Sports Physiotherapy (SPT) in 2016 and has a keen interest in treating Athletes (both adults and adolescents).
Dee can be found between Cresta Virgin Active, The Practice and Northcliff high school.
She has a passion for travel and photography, loves wildlife and spending time outdoors. She enjoys running and functional training in the gym.
